The Gold Operations and the Gold Development Initiative Fund (GDIF) Divisions, for the purpose of enhancing stakeholder participation, organised and hosted 6 Regional Gold Mining Conferences across the country. These commenced on the 30th of August, 2018 and ended on the 29th of November, 2018 and were held in Gwanda, Bulawayo, Gweru, Kadoma, Mutare and Bindura.
The Conferences were attended by the following key stakeholders, Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ), Ministry of Mines and Mining Development (MMMD), Environmental Management Agency (EMA), Zimbabwe School of Mines (ZSM) and loyal customers who sell their gold to Fidelity Printers and Refiners (FPR).
The Conferences were supported by the following mining equipment suppliers who came through as sponsors; Curechem Overseas (Pvt) Ltd, Yadgen Engineering, Shepco Industrial Supplies (Pvt) Ltd, Trade Icon Investments, Jacob Bethel Cooperation Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd, Passion Funeral Assurance, Techmate Engineering, Small Scale Mining Supplies, Dulys Motors, ABJ Engineering (Pvt) Ltd, Gold Cots and Minghao Mining Machinery.
The Conferences aimed at enhancing stakeholder participation; increasing gold deliveries by helping gold miners scale up their production through available funding opportunities; showcasing advantages of selling gold to FPR and improving brand visibility.
